Why book through Padel Hideaways?
The villas are looked after by people who are particular about who they work with, and they work with us. That takes time to earn and it is why this collection grows slowly, a villa at a time.
The rate is the villa's own, and booking with us adds nothing to it: our commission comes from within what the villa already charges. The Concierge, Driver, Chef and Coach are quoted alongside it as one price, and we are on call for them all week. Every enquiry comes to us, so the person who answers is the person who arranges it.

When is the best time to play padel in South Africa?
November to March, and April more often than people expect. January and February are the top of the Cape summer, 28° and 28°, against 23° in April and 17° in July. High summer afternoons are hot enough that the sensible pattern is early and late on the court, with the middle of the day given to the water, and April is the month that plays all day.
Winter, June to August, is the quiet season and some of the best weeks to play. Cape Town takes most of its rain then, but inland the Klein Karoo lies behind the mountains, where winter days are mostly dry, clear and mild, with about ten hours of daylight in July and cold nights for the fire. Klipkuil is the villa for it, and the court is floodlit for the early dark.
The rates follow the season as well. Paddakloof and Klipkuil are one rate all year. The others move with it. Per night, the lowest rate against the peak: Villa Kilimani €2,825 (R56,500) against €5,625 (R112,500), Villa Intaba €3,950 (R79,000) against €6,000 (R120,000), Hazendal Homestead €1,500 (R30,000) against €2,000 (R40,000) and Oakvale Estate €7,625 (R152,500) against €8,950 (R179,000). Each villa page shows which weeks are which.

Which airport do we fly into, and how far are the villas?
Cape Town International, for every villa here. Wychwood is about twenty minutes away, Villa Intaba about twenty-five minutes, Villa Kilimani and Hazendal Homestead about thirty minutes, Paddakloof about fifty minutes, Oakvale Estate about an hour and Klipkuil two and a half hours. A driver can meet you at arrivals for any of them, quoted with your stay.
It matters more than it sounds for a group: sixteen people landing on four flights across a morning is four transfers, and the difference between twenty minutes and ninety is everyone on the court before the light goes or everyone arriving in the dark.
What counts as a padel court of its own in South Africa?
At every villa here but Hazendal Homestead the padel court is on the property, inside the gate, and yours for the whole stay, because the villa is let to one group at a time. At Hazendal Homestead the court is shared, and your hours on it are booked ahead. A club court down the road does not count.
Can we add a chef and a coach?
Yes. A concierge, a driver, a chef and a coach can be added in each villa’s trip plan, and we quote them with the villa as one price. Paddakloof, Villa Kilimani, Oakvale Estate and Wychwood already have a concierge inside the rate, and Oakvale Estate a chef as well. There is no chef at Klipkuil. For a group with a wide spread of ability, ninety minutes of coaching on the first morning is the addition worth booking first.
What does a villa with a padel court in South Africa cost per night?
For the whole villa, at each villa's lowest rate, it runs from €1,200 (R24,000) per night at Klipkuil to €9,750 (R195,000) per night at Paddakloof, about €100 (R2,000) to €635 (R12,708) per person per night with every bed taken. Each villa page shows its own weeks, its peak and its shorter stays.
Can we book a weekend rather than a week?
Hazendal Homestead, Klipkuil, Oakvale Estate and Villa Kilimani take a group for two nights, Paddakloof and Villa Intaba for three and Wychwood for seven. Each villa page states its own shortest stay by season.
