How this came to be
I would rather you know me than the brand. Fifteen years in marketing to arrive at that,so hello, I am Lisa.
Growing up in South Africa, I was spoilt for choice. Endless weekends spent in beautiful homes with the people you love most. Nine times out of ten I was the one who found them. Before long I was finding them for everybody else: friends first, then friends of friends.
Moving to Portugal only widened the search. The whole of Europe, a couple of hours away, and the habit came with me. Ten years and more than a hundred homes on, I know the thing photographs never tell you, which is how a place holds a group once the bags are down, everyone has picked a room, and there’s no one else around.
Padel Hideaways started with one of those bookings. A week at Villa Branca, friends, pines above Comporta, and a court on the property. There’s something unique about a weekend with friends and access to a padel court. It made our week.
