The villa sets its own security deposit, and it is written into your agreement. We will give you the figure for your dates with your quote.

When do we arrive, and can we book a shorter stay?

Saturday to Saturday, a full week. The shortest stay the villa takes is five nights. Tell us your dates and we will tell you what it allows.

Which airport do we fly into for Villa Finsbury?

Syros (JSY), about fifteen minutes away by road. You come through Athens either way: thirty-five minutes on by air, or two and a half hours on the fast ferry from Piraeus. There is a helipad on the property for anyone in more of a hurry than that. Add the Driver and you are met at arrivals and driven in.

What comes with the villa, and what can I add at Villa Finsbury?

The whole villa, yours alone, 5 suites for 10. A concierge comes with the villa. Add a driver, a chef and a coach and we plan the week and come back with one price.

When do I pay for Villa Finsbury, and what if we have to cancel?

A deposit confirms the booking, paid within three business days of signing the rental contract, and the balance is due two months before you arrive. The security deposit is separate and paid before arrival. We will give you the figure before you book, and any deduction from it follows a full inspection, with the owner's evidence of the cost. Cancelling 60 days or more before arrival costs half the total rental, and from 59 days the full rental. Optional cancellation cover returns 90% of what you have paid, up to €25,000.

Is breakfast included at Villa Finsbury, or is that the Chef?

Breakfast is made for you every morning and it is already in the rate, so the kitchen is running from the day you arrive. The Chef pillar is the rest of it: dinners, for one night or all seven, agreed beforehand and cooked at the villa. Add it and we quote the two together.

Will the wind stop us playing at Villa Finsbury?

The meltemi blows through the Cyclades in July and August, hardest in the afternoons, and it is the reason the island plays in the morning. Book your court hours before lunch and the wind is somebody else's problem. It is also why September is the month the locals keep: warm sea, no meltemi, and the island back to itself.

The Villa for a Group

Sleeping, and who goes where: Five bedrooms are spread across a main house and three guest houses, every one en suite with a walk-in shower. Two convert to twins, so you can sleep five couples or a mixed group of ten.
Where the group gathers: You come together in the main house, and the guest houses give everyone a private place to retreat to.
Kitchen & the long table: Every building has its own kitchen, so you always have one close by. The group's table is outdoors at the main house, with a second outdoor table at the first guest house.

The Setting

Seclusion & neighbour distance: The villa sits out of town, kept private by a nature reserve on one side and the sea on the other.
Nature, light & views: The sea is in view from the living rooms and the terraces, and every bedroom opens onto a terrace or balcony of its own.
Near the beach and the airport: The beach is a five-minute walk from the villa, and Syros airport is about fifteen minutes away by car. There's a helipad in the grounds if you'd like to arrive by helicopter.

The Padel Court

Private, and only yours: The court is set in the villa's grounds above the water, with the open Aegean as your view while you play. It is full size at twenty metres by ten, with panoramic glass walls and artificial turf over sand, laid in 2019 and serviced every year. It's floodlit for the evenings, and four rackets and balls are kept courtside.
Coaching, and who comes to the court: You can add coaching to your stay with elite coaches, who teach in English. Every coach has played with us or come recommended by someone we trust.
The sessions: You choose the hours and the format: drills, matchplay or a tournament. Groups of mixed levels are welcome.

The Kitchen

The chef, and the shopping: Breakfast is prepared for you each morning and is already in the rate. For the nights you want a chef, we source one and quote it with your stay. Groceries can be delivered before you arrive.
Local food, a short drive: Ermoupoli's restaurants and shops are about ten minutes away by car, and we book your tables ahead. Syros is the capital of the Cyclades, so its tavernas are open all year.
What the island makes: The island's San Michali cheese has its own protected name, and loukoumi was being made here a century before the first tourists arrived.

The Relaxation

The pool: You have a 12 by 7 metre pool with its own Sonos system, and a jacuzzi on the terrace.
Treatments: You can add wellness treatments to your stay, and they're given at the villa.
Sleep, and room to do nothing: Air conditioning runs throughout, and when you want a quiet hour there's a hammock, the gardens and sunbeds by the pool.

The Service on Site

Who is on site: Housekeeping comes every day of the week, and the villa's own staff take care of the laundry. You arrive to a personal welcome and a villa stocked with the essentials.
Planning, and your concierge: We plan your stay with you before you arrive, and a dedicated concierge is on the island while you're there.
Upkeep & grounds: The garden, the pool and the court are looked after throughout your stay.

The Feeling

The sea, and the private pier: The villa has direct access to the Aegean. A staircase leads down to a small private pier, where you can swim in the open sea.
