Pick a week to start

Weeks run Saturday to Saturday, with the option to adjust the days and the period in shoulder season once I check availability with the villa. Temperature and sunlight are averages, not a forecast. This villa prices August and October at its High rate, between shoulder and peak. Peak is the fortnight from 19 December to 2 January rather than the summer, and the week of 12 December sits just under the High rate at €25,625. Availability into the autumn is already thin, so ask me what is open before you settle on dates.

Villa Bahar, a private villa in Marrakech, Morocco with its own court. The whole place, sleeps 18. The week planned end to end, drivers every day including the runs to Marrakech Menara and fully catered.

The practical questions about Villa Bahar

    Why book through you?

The villas are looked after by people who are particular about who they work with, and they work with me. That takes time to earn and it is why this collection grows slowly, a villa at a time.

You pay the villa's own rate, and the week costs no more for my being in it: my commission comes out of what the villa already charges. The Concierge, Driver, Chef and Coach are quoted alongside it as one price, and I am on call for them all week. Every enquiry comes to me, so the person who answers is the person who arranges it.

Is there a security deposit at Villa Bahar?

The villa sets its deposit and it is written into your agreement before you book. Ask me and I will tell you the figure for your dates.

When do we arrive, and can we book a shorter stay?

Saturday to Saturday, a full week. Four nights outside the festive weeks, rising to seven from 12 December. Tell me your dates and I will tell you what it allows.

Which airport do we fly into for Villa Bahar?

Marrakech Menara (RAK), about twenty-five minutes away by road. A driver comes with the villa, so you are met at arrivals and driven in.

What comes with the villa, and what can I add at Villa Bahar?

The whole villa, yours alone, 9 suites for 18. A concierge, a driver and a chef come with the villa. Add a coach and I plan the week and come back with one price.

What is added to the rate at Villa Bahar?

It differs by villa. Some quote the week with the cleaning and the taxes inside it; others charge cleaning separately, or tax on the booking fee. I confirm this villa's lines before I quote, so the figure I come back with is the figure you pay.

Is the chef included at Villa Bahar, and what does that cover?

The chef is in the rate, cooking full board for the whole stay. The ingredients are quoted separately, and I get you that figure with the rest of the quote rather than putting an estimate on this page. Breakfast, lunch and dinner come out of the estate's own kitchen, with the vegetable garden in most of it.

Why is December the expensive fortnight at Villa Bahar?

Marrakech runs opposite to the Mediterranean. July and August reach the high thirties on the plain, which is pool weather rather than court weather, and the fortnight from 19 December is the one everybody wants: warm days, cold nights, the Atlas white behind the olives. That fortnight is peak at €35,835. September, late November and early December are €24,000, and they are the best weeks of the year here.
